Welcome to Matchima! Where the main aim of the game is to match cards against ranks and suits

Scoring

You score points by matching cards, either by rank, e.g. two kings, two aces, two numbers, etc., or by suit, e.g. two hearts. You get more points for matching ranks than matching suits since they are generally harder to match.

You will have points deducted each time you select a card, and each time you have a mismatch. The amount of points deducted also increases as your score increases. This discourages random selection of cards.

Also keep an eye out for a multiplier that could randomly pop up after a reshuffle of cards. Itll show up in the top right corner, and increases by 1 with each match. Chaining matches results in a massive gain of points

Timing

Time Left: This is the total amount of time you have to score points. Every time you get a match, you also get an increase in total time. The amount of time thats added is also reduced as the time left increases. This maintains the intensity of the game. Once this reaches 0, the game is over

Reset Time: Once this time reaches 0, the cards would be reshuffled

Tips

- The best way to play the game is to memorize the cards and their locations when you first select them. This way, when you select another card thats a match, you can easily match it. Remember you get penalized for selecting cards and mismatches so you want to minimize this as much as possible. Using this tactic also helps you make the most use of the multiplier when its active

- If you find yourself getting frustrated because youre losing too many points, its probably because youve started selecting cards randomly without memorizing previously selected cards and their locations. Try to refocus. Pause the game if you have to and take a break before continuing

- Randomly selecting cards could help you gain time faster. You can use this to increase your chances of staying alive if you are running low on time. Only use this as a last resort. Remember your score may stagnate or deteriorate if youre randomly tapping cards

HighScores

The game comes preloaded with already achieved high scores and displays only the top 20. If you get a score that beats any of them, you have the option to save it with a tag if you want.
